Community Foundation

Whilst SportWorks primarily focuses on public sector programmes, we also operate a separate Community Interest Company named “SW Health & Wellbeing”.

Our sister organisation focuses on local and hyperlocal community, grassroots and health initiatives, taking the principles of improved wellbeing and education standards directly into the communities and estates which need the greatest support.

A key part of our model is working closely with charities, community organisations, faith groups and local residents to ensure our programmes truly meet the needs / challenges at a localised level. By working in this way, we know that our projects not only benefit local people, but are ‘owned’ and managed by those individuals with lived experience.

Our work is vital in tackling a range of issues including crime, anti-social behaviour, community cohesion, mental health awareness, educational attainment, disability awareness, gender empowerment/inclusion and social mobility.

Please take a look at our subpages to learn more about our hyperlocal community work.
